How do I refresh a page/clear my cache?
If something is not appearing correctly on your screen, sometimes refreshing the page or clearing your cache will rectify the situation.
Refreshing your Page:
At the top left of the brower window you will see some icons. Back, Forward, Home, Refresh, etc. Click the Refresh icon to refresh your page. You can also right click in the middle of your screen and you should see a Refresh option listed on the window that pops up. Clicking on this Refresh option will also refresh your screen.
Clearing Your Cache*:
- Go to Tools/Internet Options.
- In the middle Temporary Internet Files section, find the button that says Delete Files...
- Click this button to clear your cache. Clearing your cache could take up to a few minutes based on how often you clear your cache.
- Once it is done, click OK.
- Go to Tools/Options.
- Click on the Clear button next to Cache. Clearing your cache could take up to a few minutes based on how often you clear your cache.
- Once it is done, click OK.
- Go to Tools/Options.
- Click the Clear Cache Now button. Clearing your cache could take up to a few minutes based on how often you clear your cache.
- Once it is done, click OK.
- Go to Tools/Preferences.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Select History from the left side menu.
- Click the Empty now button next to Disk cache. Clearing your cache could take up to a few minutes based on how often you clear your cache.
- Once it is done, click OK.
- Firefox/Preferences/Privacy/ Under Private Date click the Clear Now... button.
- Opera/Preferences/Advanced Tab/History/ Next to Disk cache click the Empty now button.
- Safari/Empty Cache/Click Empty.
